Intro to Traditional Lead Climbing @ Quartzite Classic
Learn what it takes to climb on the “sharp” end in the traditional lead clinic at Devils Lake State Park.
Equipment is included, but we encourage participants to bring their gear along.
Prerequisites: Participants should be comfortable building solid top-rope anchors using natural and artificial protection. This means you have built 25+ “gear” anchors (not on bolts) that you and other have climbed on. You know all these knots and you know how assorted protection (nuts, hexes, Tricams, cams) should be placed.
