Rappelling / Abseiling

It's true what they say: What goes up must come down. Which is why rappelling (a.k.a. sliding down a rope) is a core competency for any climber, mountaineer, or canyoneer. Fortunately, rappelling isn't all that difficult; it requires much less physical effort and ability than climbing does, because you are going with gravity, instead of against it. Devils Lake is chock-full of gorgeous cliffs in a great variety of heights, so it's a fantastic place to learn and practice rappelling. Challenge yourself to learn a new skill and enjoy the freedom of balance, exposure and control.

Sunset Rappelling

This course teaches you how to build your own rappel anchor, set up the ropes, and rappel 20- to 100-feet (you choose!) on your own, under your guide's supervision. Participants love learning and using new skills in such a short time period. Perfect for a date, an evening family outing, or an active team bonding experience.
