STolen Equipment summary

Our enclosed trailer we use for Adventure Day Camp was stolen at 5PM Mon 1/15/2024 from our parking space behind St. Bernard’s church on Atwood Ave. The trailer held all the equipment we use to outfit 12 students + 3 instructors for Adventure Day Camp each week during summer.

Security camera footage (see here and here) shows two people arrived in the parking lot separately, about 5 minutes apart. They walked around the trailer, opened the side door briefly, and then connected the trailer to an extended cab pickup truck. They then returned to their vehicles. The track hauled the trailer out of the parking lot and onto Atwood Avenue around 5:15 PM.

Stolen equipment includes:

• fleet bikes (16)

• a fleet of paddle boards (18)

• a crate of brand new climbing shoes (approx. 24 pairs)

• a variety of climbing ropes

• a collection of assorted camping equipment

It's a devastating blow to our business and finances.

We have reported the case to the Madison Police Department, and they have assigned a detective to the case. Unfortunately, there have been no leads to date. We appreciate local news outlets sharing our story, including Grace Ulch at WKOW 27, Marcus Aarsvold at WMTV 15 and the Jeff Richgels at the Wisconsin State Journal.
