Women's Climbing Weekend – Event Details
May 9th - 11th, 2025 at Ski Hi Fruit Farm and Devil's Lake State Park
Logistics
Campground & Check-in
Ski Hi Fruit Farm will serve as our base camp for the weekend. Tent or vehicle camping, meals, and additional activities will occur in this communal space. Signage will lead you back to our tucked away private campsite. Participants may check in and set up camp Friday evening between 5:00p -10:00p. If you plan to arrive outside this timeframe, please email Carrie, your camp host. All camping equipment must be broken down and removed before the start of clinics Sunday morning.
Visit the event carpooling and connections spreadsheet to find participants in your area to share the ride. The environment thanks you for considering!
Amenities
Women’s Climbing Weekend is an opportunity to unplug and tune in. Cell phone service is unreliable at both Ski Hi and Devil’s Lake State Park. Please plan accordingly and download directions in advance.
Our private campsite is equipped with ample camping space, covered seating areas to gather for meals or play, drinking water, and portable toilets. Tent and small vehicle camping are welcome, but please no RV’s.
Camping at Ski Hi is “rustic”, meaning there are no running-water bathrooms or electrical outlets. Please plan accordingly. Showers can be taken within Devil’s Lake State Park. Wifi and electrical outlets are available within Ski Hi’s market during business hours. Additional amenities (food, fuel, etc) can be found in the nearby town of Baraboo, WI, about a 5-10 minute drive from our campsite.
Firewood will be provided for communal campfires each evening. If you would like to have fires outside of this time, firewood is available for purchase at Ski Hi’s market.
Meals
Admission includes six meals: a casual Friday dinner; Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner; and Sunday breakfast and lunch. Lunches will be pre-packed for you to pick up at breakfast and take along to the crag. If you have a large or particular appetite, plan to pack your own favorite snacks.
**Participants must bring their own dishes and utensils.** A dish station will be set up at camp for participants to wash their personal dishes when they have finished eating.
You should have notified us of any dietary restrictions or allergies upon registration. If you have any questions or concerns about dietary accommodations, please email Chef Mark.
Clinics
You will receive an email two weeks prior to the event with your clinic instructors’ name and information. Clinics will convene near the event tent at our site within Ski Hi and then caravan to Devil’s Lake State Park for the day. Your clinic instructor will provide more information on navigation and parking when you meet. Note that in the case of inclement weather, clinic curriculum and venue are subject to change.
Park Admission Info
**NOTE: All vehicles parked at Devil’s Lake must have a valid admission sticker** Please register your vehicle as soon as you arrive to avoid a ticket. See our Park Admission page for current fee information. If you already have a WI State Parks pass OR a National Parks annual pass, simply display it on your vehicle dashboard.

WHAT TO BRING
Please take a look at our visual packing list to prepare for a successful weekend. Please contact your camp host, Carrie, with any equipment questions.
Mind & Body
Sleep and eat well in the days before the event, so you are well-rested and you have plenty of energy during our time together.
If you climb in a gym, you might take a day or two off prior to the weekend so your muscles are well-rested and strong. Otherwise, relax and get psyched to climb!
Cancellations
While we are looking forward to climbing with you, we understand cancellations are sometimes necessary due to unplanned events. Please read our Cancellation Policies, should you need to cancel your event for any reason between now and the event.
*Women’s Climbing Weekend is a special, limited-enrollment event that will run rain or shine. Registration is non-refundable unless the event sells out and we can find another climber to take your place.
We recommend purchasing trip insurance to avoid losing money in the event of an emergency or a change to your travel plans. Forbes has a great trip insurance search tool for finding the right option for your situation.
Low-Enrollment
Clinics with three or fewer participants may be canceled. If your chosen clinic(s) are under-enrolled, we will contact you three weeks prior to the event. At this point you may choose to switch to an available clinic or receive a full refund.
