Bob, Tommy, Sam, and Leo atop Psuedo Hawks Nest
Bob, Tommy, Sam, and Leo atop Psuedo Hawks Nest

Sam, Leo, Bob, and Tommy did some mountain biking at Kettle Moraine on Sunday, hit the Kalahari water park Sunday afternoon, then hooked up with me for climbing on Monday... sounded like a fantastic father/son weekend. Since Wisconsin schools don't "celebrate" Columbus Day with a day off, the Lake was quiet and we had the place largely to ourselves.

It was blustery day at Pseudo Hawk's Nest, windy enough to actually make you think the wind might knock you off the route! Does anyone know why this area is called Psuedo Hawk's Nest? Is it simply because it's near Hawk's Nest? We were busy enough that I didn't take any pictures until we broke down anchors at day's end, but I wanted to share the great fall colors on display at Devils Lake right now... super gorgeous.
