Help Empower Your Camper To Have a Great Week

Below, you’ll find logistics for each session, links to important forms and documents, an equipment list, tips to help your camper prepare, and more.

Prepare for Success

If Adventure Day Camp or adventure sports are new activities for your student(s), set them up for success helping them prepare in advance.

  • Look over our Adventure Day Camp Equipment List to ensure your camper arrives prepared. We encourage parents to allow their campers to take responsibility for packing and sourcing supplies.

  • If weather makes for poor outdoor adventure conditions, we may head inside to Boulders Climbing Gym. Please fill out their liability waiver prior to camp. Follow these instructions for completing a waiver for a minor.

  • If your camper hasn’t spent the night away from home, create smaller opportunities before camp. This could be a one or two-night weekend campout, or even camping in the backyard.

  • If your camper doesn’t have much climbing experience, consider visiting a local climbing gym. A belay class or weekly class goes a long way to developing familiarity and comfort in the harness.

  • If your camper is new to sleeping outside, have them test out their sleeping gear before camp, to make sure it’s comfortable. (Check out this article from REI for some tips).
