Tyler Davis
I first got bit by the climbing bug at the age of 16 back home in Northwest Wisconsin. I then stumbled into the guiding scene my junior year of college when I worked out in Acadia National Park and surrounding areas for the summer of 2021.
After that first season guiding I was hooked on the guiding life and found myself guiding year round by instructing ice climbing at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore for the past five years.
I am a graduate from Northern Michigan University with a degree in Business Management and Outdoor Recreation Leadership Management. Immediately after my graduation in May of 2022 I left to thru hike and successfully completed the Pacific Crest Trail.
I’m excited to find my self working at Devils Lake to explore some of the best climbing my home state has to offer and to share it with those seeking out the amazing world of rock climbing!
client feedback
“There was no worst part of the trip! It was a fantastic day through and through. Tyler was thorough in his knowledge and was very encouraging! I cannot wait to do this again!”
“Tyler is fantastic. He provides a perfect amount of challenge and support. We all had an amazing day, and it was not a given going in that my 12-year-old daughter would emerge an enthusiastic climber. I give Tyler’s coaching an enthusiastic 10/10.”
“Tyler specifically is a fantastic instructor. He does a great job at making everyone feel part of the group, safe and communicating clearly about expectations. He is very knowledgeable but tailors the information well depending on who he is talking to. He keeps a close eye on everyone to make sure they are enjoying the day but also that everyone is following all safety best practices.”
