PCIA Top & Base Managed Climbing Instructor
Wilderness First Responder
I first learned to climb at a small wall in the Student Recreation and Wellness Center (SRWC) at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and have been addicted ever since. Although I earned my undergraduate degree in Special Education, much of my time at UWO was focused on Outdoor Education.
I currently work as the graduate assistant for the Outdoor Connection and climbing wall in the Recreational Eagle Center (REC), while I earn my master’s degree in Recreation Management from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. In addition, I am in the midst of planning a wedding with my best friend and the love of my life. Following school, I hope to continue as an outdoor educator in a university setting, as these experiences have had such a positive impact on my life.
Even with such a busy schedule, I am more stoked than ever and constantly taking every opportunity I get to climb. From clipping bolts to stacking pads; pulling plastic to scrambling talus; plugging gear to swinging ice axes; I love it all!
