Wilderness First REsponder instructor
Amy is a thoughtful, no-nonsense, humorous wilderness medicine instructor passionate about sharing her knowledge with students. She gets a huge charge out of watching students go from timid, unsure rookies to confident, competent leaders.
Amy is an Wilderness EMT (WEMT) and works part-time for Pridecare EMS as an NREMT-B in Southwest Michigan. She holds a masters degree in Experimental Psychology and Neuroscience. She is also a Ski Patroller and ski instructor; she teaches snowboarding and toboggan skills.
When it’s not snowing, Amy is the lead Advanced Freefall Program (AFP) Instructor at Skydive Chicago, helping many new students learn to skydive, build skills, and earn licenses. She holds a USPA (United States Parachute Association) D license, a PRO rating, and Coach, AFF, and Tandem Ratings, She is an International Bodyflight Association (IBA) tunnel coach and has competed in USPA nationals for many years in formation skydiving.
In Amy’s free time she loves to ride her mountain bike, go rock climbing, and play outside.
