What Does Tree Planting Looks Like?

FAQ

Does this cost anything?

No, this is a FREE event, sponsored by Devils Lake Climbing Guides, Heartwood Tree Company, Alliant Energy, Trees Forever, and Devil’s Lake State Park.

What should I bring?

Work clothes, work gloves, water bottle. Heartwood and the Park will provide shovels and other hand tools. If you have a shovel or two you don’t mind bringing, that always helps!

Who will be there?

Lots of friendly folks excited to make DLSP a greener, shadier place. DLCG, Heartwood, and DLSP staff will attend, along with client volunteers interested in pitching in.

Is it okay to leave arrive late or leave early?

Yes. While it’s super helpful to be present for orientation, we’ll help you jump into the action when you arrive. We understand not everyone can attend the entire time.
