I was born and raised in southeastern Michigan. As a kid, I spent my summers in Vail, Colorado with my family, at a local overnight summer camp, and/or RVing. It was through these experiences that I developed my passion for the outdoors. Growing up with three older brothers really kept me on my toes. I wanted to play all the sports that they played.  I played hockey, soccer, baseball, basketball, volleyball, swimming, and lacrosse.  When I got into high school, I focused on soccer.  I decided to continue playing in college at Kalamazoo College.  I also joined the Women’s Lacrosse team at my college in the spring. I graduated from Kalamazoo College with a major in Biology and minor in Psychology.

This past year, I joined the coaching staff at Kalamazoo College as an assistant coach for women’s lacrosse. I also worked in the student health center as a Covid Care Coordinator. In addition to this, I helped Kalamazoo College's Outdoor Programs office. While helping in the Outdoor Programs office, I led 2 trips. The first trip was a freshman orientation at a camp near Traverse City.  The other trip was a backcountry sea kayaking trip around Little Tybee Island in Georgia. I concluded my time in the Outdoor Programs office by teaching a backpacking class for college students.

I got into rock climbing when I went on a college organized trip to Joshua Tree National Park.  This was my first ever rock-climbing experience and I absolutely LOVED it! Ever since that trip, I have been rock climbing at my local climbing gym while also learning new skills/techniques from the director of the Outdoor Program's office. Outside of climbing, I enjoy working out, baking, hanging out with my family and spending time outside. I look forward to spending my summer at Devils Lake Climbing Guides!
