The Wisconsin DNR started a major campsite update project this winter at Devil's Lake and Peninsula State Parks, adding electricity to sites in the Quartzite, Northern Lights, and Ice Age campgrounds. The last batch of sites is now ready to be open to the public, starting this Wednesday. So if you are planning a June trip and have been unable to get a campsite reservation at the Lake, get online Wednesday morning to score a great spot in the Northern Lights loop.

Here's the official DNR release:

On Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 9 a.m. Central Time, the following campsites at Devil’s Lake State Park will be available for reservation. The reservations will be available for dates beginning May 31, 2013 through June 30, 2013. These sites were available previously for reservations starting July 1, 2013. . Northern Lights: 104 through 149, 163 through 264, A2and A3. This completes the project at Devil’s Lake State Park
