ANNUAL STICKERS & DAILY ADMISSION FEES

For Devil's Lake State Park and Wisconsin State Parks

Buy Your Wisconsin State Parks Sticker in Advance

Like every Wisconsin state park, Devil’s Lake State Park charges an entry fee for each vehicle, which you may pay on-site or in advance. The Park does not check for park passes at the gate. Rather, DLSP Park rangers check parked vehicles for annual stickers or daily passes, which must be on display on the driver’s side dashboard. Vehicles without park passes are issued a formal warning ticket, which turns into a real ticket if the fee is not paid within a certain short period.

Devil’s Lake State Park Fees

You may buy either a Devil’s Lake State Park Daily Pass, or an Annual Wisconsin State Parks Pass, which is good for the calendar year.

Note the Daily Pass for Devil’s Lake State Park is more expensive than for other WI State Parks (like nearby Mirror Lake SP), so a Mirror Lake State Park does not cover you for Devil’s Lake (but the opposite works!).

How to Buy a Park Pass at Devil’s Lake

Devil’s Lake visitors may purchase a Devil’s Lake Daily Pass or Wisconsin State Parks Annual Pass in the Park in one of three ways:

  • Entry stations at the North Shore and South Shore picnic areas offer “counter service” admissions purchases via cash, check or credit card. Hours vary throughout the year, so check ahead.

  • A new (2018) credit card station offers admissions purchase via credit card outside admissions station hours at the South Shore.

  • Yellow “Iron Rangers” at the Boat Ramp, CCC and Stienke Basin trailheads offer cash-only admissions. Visitors may get an envelope from the Iron Ranger, fill out the personal info on the envelope, insert exact change into the envelope, remove the receipt from the envelope, and put the envelope in the Iron Ranger. Leave the receipt on your driver’s side dashboard, and you’re set.

How to Order a Devil’s Lake Park Sticker Online

You may order a Wisconsin State Parks annual pass in advance, online or by phone (1.888.305.0398). Federal National Parks passes are accepted by DLSP, as the national Ice Age Trail runs through the Park. If you order a pass on line but it does not arrive in time, you may display the receipt on your dashboard.
